EP. 129
According to current estimates, there are 400,000 children in foster care in the United States. They range in age from infants to 21 years old (in some states), but the average age of a child in foster care is 8+ years old, and there are slightly more boys than girls. Sadly, although a the foster care system does a great deal of good...it owes its existence to family tragedy.
I'm so honored to be interviewing Katie Tudor, LMSW who brings her expertise to this second of a two-part interview as we discuss:
Aside from the obvious (become a foster parent) what other ways can someone become involved?
What are the actual steps to becoming a foster parent?
Do you have any "hacks" to make the process smoother?
